Regret Theory and Fuzzy-DEMATEL-Based Model for Construction Program Manager Selection in China

During the drastic changing process of construction industry in China, program management has been given significant attention. Due to complexity programs, selecting competent managers is crucially important its success. Therefore, based on a comprehensive literature review, this paper combines regret theory and Fuzzy-DEMATEL method develop multi-attribute model for manager selection. Firstly, six competence elements are extracted, then selection evaluation index system constructed. Secondly, used simulate psychological characteristics decision makers, combined with Fuzzy-DEMATEL, weights each element calculated. Lastly, all alternatives sorted ones selected. A case study provided exam effectiveness developed model. Results shows that proposed adopted group making took into account behavior makers as well influences from relationships between different attributes. Such results indicate able provide more scientific selections, which can further improve programs.
